The project ONCO-THAI aims to develop minimally invasive therapies based on light and medical imaging
This project leads to the development of technical platforms (hardware and software). These platforms integrate results obtained on mathematical modeling of light-tissue interaction (LITT: Laser Interstitial Thermo-Therapy and PDT: Photodynamic Therapy) and on medical imaging for the identification of cancer foci using Mutimodality Imaging iii) simulation, planning and monitoring of treatment procedures.
Main research programs concern
The project is divided in two sub-themes: Focal interstitial laser therapy for prostate cancer, brain (glioblastoma) and Intracavity laser therapy for peritoneal carcinoses or mesothelioma.
